My self portrait

1. Why did you select the inspiration pieces?
I choose these pieces because they were ones that i was familiar with
2. Why did you select the media to create your self-portrait?
because it was the easiest for me to access
3. What challenges did you face in creating your self-portrait and how did you overcome them?
It is very hard for me to draw because i do not have any talent at all when it comes to art even though i know my portrait is hideous it was a good challenge for me to actually try .
4. How does this piece represent you?
It represents me because it shows one part of me that i can't really express . Even though it isn't the greatest self portrait it shows how i specifically view my self at least when trying to draw
5. What elements and principles of art did you apply in this work?
i applied shades i tried to shade in the drawing that i made so that it would look more realistic and more like something professional
6. Did you enjoy working on this project?
yes i did because once again it challenged my skills of drawing which i need to work on a lot
7. What do you think of your final artwork?
I don't think it is the best but i do believe that  if i keep practicing i can become better at drawing and making art work .

Final Blog Post

1. What were you expectations for this course and where they met?
My expectations of this course were to learn the most that i can about art and learn things that i didn't know before. What i expected was met because there are a lot of things that i didn't do before or see that deals with art and  i have learned so much during this course i am satisfied with the course and what i have learned.
2. Now that you've been through this course, What is art? How would you define it now compared to your intial posting?
I would define art as something beautiful to a persons eye or explains or symbolizes something that someone has been through or what they want to portray through it .
3. Who was your favorite artist in your original posting and who is your favorite visual artist now? If there is a difference, why do you think so? If you have the same favorite artist, why do you think so?
I didn't have a favorite artist , but now i would say that all of the visual artist that i learned about are my favorite because they have taught me is all about what the persons sees or is creating when they do make a work of art .
4. Now that you've completed this course, how do you feel about taking an online course? Is your answer the same as it was in your first posting? How is it the same or different?
now that i have taken this course i don't really feel that online courses are for me because it was very hard for me to be on time with assignments with my busy schedule and sometimes i would forget to check online to see what was due and when it was . It is different because i expected it to be easy for me to stay focused but i have realized a classroom setting is the best for me

Project 4 Reflection

This project to me was a lot alf work for me because i am not to big on art and do notknow a lot about it .  I decided that i liked animals a lot so i choose them as my topic and this made it a lot more interesting for me . I found a lot of information and art that portrayed a lot of different things from royalty to money . I never could understand how people portrayed these works of art to mean so much more than the eye can see. This was very fun for me to do and was time consuming because i didn't not know what i should say . I came across a lot that i liked from the same place and it was good to see what these things meant and how they were made and what they were used for . I  think this project was probably the most interesting because i had to search the web for similarities and actually put them in a powerpoint and i haven't really gotten a chance to use powerpoint that often on my computer . I found that the theme that i choose should be dark because i did decide to do middle ages . This came out and worked out great with the theme they had for powerpoint and overall this was a good project to deal with .  This project deffenitely showed me that there are so many different types of art out there.

Week 13 & 14  Video Questions

In the video lowdown on lowbrow there were a lot of things that were talked about. There were a few artist that were interviewed about this term lowbrow . They pretty much asked  them what this term meant to them and what kind of art would they consider this to be . This type of art was very different , kind of weird. The art showed the issues and pop culture of the time. In the second video . This museum is revolutionary  and was talked about how it was .  They talked about mainly about changes in peoples perceptions based on the way that the art was displayed. The acquiring mind video with Philippe de Montebello and the metropolitan museum  of art  this video spoke about the moma . The video was mainly about how the moma  developed .  I believe that all of these videos do relate to art exhibition project and I believe this because they all speak about art exhibitions . There are so many things that are required to create an exhibit and these videos go into depth about that . So I believe they are  in great relation to each other and the videos were very informed.
